HEALTHY LIBRARY 201 Reflections On Sickness

Reflections On Sickness
Theme:
A sick person is not one who merely has a sick body, but one who entertains sick thoughts. The body is an effect, not a cause; it reflects the activity of consciousness.

Lesson
There is a deeper understanding that invites us to look beyond appearances and into the creative nature of thought. What we see in the body is not the origin of condition, but the result of something already set in motion within consciousness. The body does not initiate action; it responds to it.

When we believe that illness resides solely in the body, we may attempt to change the outer condition without addressing the inner cause. Yet all manifestation follows thought. The Law of Mind acts upon our dominant ideas, shaping form according to belief. Therefore, what appears as a physical condition has its roots in mental acceptance.

This does not imply blame, but awareness. It reveals that healing begins not by struggling with effects, but by transforming cause. As we release thoughts of fear, anxiety, criticism, or limitation, we create space for a new pattern to emerge. The body, ever responsive, reflects this shift.

Bodies and conditions do not move of themselves; they are moved upon by the activity of consciousness. When thought changes, experience follows. As we align with truth, wholeness reveals itself.

Healing, then, is a return to right thinking—a recognition that Life within us is already whole, already complete, already perfect.

Meditative Thought
There is a Presence within me that knows only wholeness.
As I align my thought with Truth, harmony is revealed.

Affirmation
I release all false beliefs about illness.
I accept the wholeness of Life within me now.
My thoughts are aligned with health, harmony, and peace.

Spiritual Practice
Today, gently observe your thinking about the body.
Whenever a thought of limitation appears, replace it with a recognition of wholeness—knowing the body responds to the truth you accept.
